The Department of Health (DOH) has warned devotees of the potential risk of a stampede during the Traslacion on January 9 2026, citing last year’s incidents and reminded the public that while devotion is important, life is even more so.

The traslacion is a tradition of many people join to seeking a miracle or healing and fulfilling a vow in Black Nazarene in Quiapo, where this year a total of 9,640,290 million devotees participated and ended after 31 hours. That highlights safety is must when it comes to this because no matter what you gain, it’s worthless if life is at stake. That’s why they need to listen in DOH or PNP.

Additionally, in massive gatherings like the Traslacion, the risks are real and unpredictable. Accidents can happen anytime so If your body can’t handle it, or if you have health conditions like asthma, it’s wiser to stay at home and just pray.

According to the DOH, signs of a stampede include strong pushing, difficulty lifting one’s feet, simultaneous movement of people, and difficulty breathing and once any of these signs are noticed, individuals should immediately move away from the area. Everyone must stay vigilant and prioritize their life over the crowd. No spiritual goal is worth putting yourself in harm’s way.

Also, true faith is not measured by enduring danger, but by valuing life, your own and others and they say life comes from God, so if it’s a gift, you must protect and take care of it’s, especially each person have only one life.

Meanwhile, photojournalist Itoh Son from the tabloid Saksi suffered a heart attack in the morning, according to PTFoMS and dead on arrival at Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center but before the devotion he had contracted a flu. This a tragic remainder ignoring one’s health, especially when already ill it can lead to tragic consequences. You should not risk your life even that’s your job because in the end all of that memories will disappear if you died.

And yes all Filipinos are faithful, but they must also know limits. Getting injured or sick is difficult, especially for those who are poor, that’s why the advice of the DOH should be followed and taken seriously.

True faith does not ignore wisdom so listening to health advice costs nothing, but ignoring it can cost everything.

Representative Terry Ridon announced that Vice President Sara Duterte may face a new impeachment complaint as early as February 6,2026. This will serve as a continuation of her issue last year and they make sure that she will be held accountable for this.

VP Sara has engaged in actions that reflect negligence and mismanagement, including diverting ₱612.5 funds that SDO of Sara, Gina Acosta put it in a gym bag. As a result instead to benefits other, It just went to her personal luxuries, these actions have caused destroy the public trust in government.

Additionally, If the impeachment not proceed it sends a dangerous message, where she can steal with impunity while ordinary people bear the cost. And since the money comes from taxpayers, she has no right to use it for herself and the funds must go in a right hand, like in education, to people who needs assistance.

The Supreme Court ruled that the impeachment case violated the one-year bar rule and it included the alleged attempt of Sara to assassinate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos, and Speaker Martin Romualdez, a way that she deserve to full field her case, especially it’s serious situation even she have a right place to complain.

Therefore, people deserve know the truth about the accusations against Sara, especially there’s proof. Without a trial, they deserve to live in this country with no problem just peace especially it’s cruel.

And a true officer in government serves the people, not personal interests. You earn the trust of the people, and once gained, you must uphold it, because betraying that trust is a betrayal of the nation itself where her assets quadrupling from 2007 to 2017 get higher.

When trust is broken for personal gain, the nation itself pays the price and true public service means placing the people above personal enrichment, always. Anyone deserve to be responsible of their action even you are VP. So can they really put the country before themselves?
